A public accounting of my quest for the Good Life: what it is, how I'll get there and how I'll drag my family kicking and screaming along with me.

Part of the walk to the Oxford Playhouse. Not all the lean on the timber house is the camera angle.

I took a shortcut along the Thames one morning.

This is in the Bodleian Library. Where they filmed Harry's trial in HP 4. We ate supper in here.

I'm here registered, checked into my hotel and using TED wifi to tell you about it.

I'm off to get supper and take a few snaps of Oxford.

Blue Lagoon

I bought an excursion ticket that stopped at the Blue Lagoon.
They make it very easy for travelers.

Driving there

There are a bunch of coves and resting spots, including a waterfall.

Rejkyavik

The flight to Iceland was uneventful - my favourite kind.
I jumped on the bus to Rejkyavik, which deposited us just off the highway beside the airport. The driver assured us that the town was just right over there. A short walk away and yes, it really was.

This is the first thing I saw. I had checked out google earth, so now
I knew where I was.

This is The Pond in the middle of Rejkyavik.

I'm going to post a few pictures and fill you in later.

On the Way

I'm at the airport waiting for my flight. I had some issues when I tried to send email with my new netbook. So I fired up the skype video and called my tech dept (AKA Don). He straightened me out in no time and I got to wish the kids goodnight at the same time.

Technology is wonderful when it works and it's working right now. Next time from Iceland.

TEDGlobal 2009

I haven't been here in a while.

I'm still moving ahead designing and creating the life I want. The biggest step I've made in that direction is my coming trip to TEDGlobal in Oxford England next week (July20-24, 2009).

You can check back over that time as I plan to post my trip as I go, as I can.
